The Air Transport Settlement System (ATSS) applies electronic forms of ATSS Standard Traffic Documents (ATSS STDs) to issue contract for air transportation of passenger, baggage and associated services.

The ATSS Standard Traffic Documents comply with international standards. The information related to Form Codes 610 – 619 for different types of the ATSS traffic documents, including the method for the calculation of check digit is shown in Attachment A to Recommended Practice 1720а of IATA Passenger Services Conference Resolutions Manual (PSCRM). The range of ATSS STDs is allocated depending on the method used for the issuance of transportation/services. For ATSS e-documents with the codes of service type 81, 76, 75, and 98, the serial numbers are generated out of the range with the Form Code "10" as from July 1, 2014.

E-forms of the ATSS standard traffic documents refer to e-ticket and Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD). An EMD is used to issue ancillary services provided to passenger, and various fees/charges collected from passenger. The ancillary services may be also issued on the ATSS electronic documents.

A number of ATSS e-ticket or ATSS EMD is generated in TCH E-ticketing Centre (TCH ETC) from a relevant stock of ATSS traffic documents when issuing a transportation/service. An Airline is not required to allocate ranges of traffic document numbers between agencies because this function is performed by TCH ETC in a centralized manner.

The issuance of transportation on ATSS STDs shall comply with the provisions of the "ATSS STD Ticketing Handbook" (in Russian language).
